My original question was how could I use dragon to "type these initial letters" so that the dropdown list of possible responses comes up and I can choose the desired one, hit or "speak enter" and the phrase is entered in the document. As I type the first 2 letters of the abbreviation, a list of possible phrases come up and I can choose the one I want to use. I don't have to remember an exact word or command. With PhraseExpander, I have a system for making the abbreviation that correspond to phrases. There is no way in dragon if I made simple commands or vocabulary to pull up these people, MD's and facilities that I could remember the specific Spoken form or MYCommandName. I find it easier to use PhraseExpander to enter the unique people, MD's and facilities once with the proper formatting with simple abbreviations. I perform multiple reports a week and in each the people, MD's and facilities change. However, I find it challenging to dictate names of people, physicians, facilities using dragon as it will often make mistake on unique names and not get the formatting correct. I dictate with dragon into evernote the dates, medical history, findings, x-ray reports, etc. I use a Phillips speechmike on my desk with the stand provided by Lunis. ![]() #Phraseexpress old version pdf#In doing this, I am constantly reviewing large volumes (1000's of pages) of medical records either as PDF files or paper charts.
